Presented by NTU Chinese Creative Writing Residency and supported by the National Arts Council, 《小说与诗歌的交响:文学与地方记忆》A Symphony of Novels and Poetry: Places and Memories is an afternoon of talks and seminars featuring renowned international scholars and writers such as Taiwanese academic Prof Nikky Lin, Chinese novelist Tian Yong alongside prominent local authors Ding Yun and Zhou Hao. Tying in with the larger bicentennial celebrations and exploring the theme of “memory and place in literature”, the speakers will draw on their own experiences and research to discuss the ways in which Chinese novels and poetry probe the relationship between memory and place, as well as evoke various emotions.
