Read! Fest is back for the 5th year running! NLB’s annual literary festival continues to celebrate the joy of reading, this year dedicated to The Pursuit of Happiness. Find your happiness through the many programmes lined up from 22 Jun – 28 Jul.

《记得》是文化奖得主林高的最新散文集,内容题材广泛,凡自我的成长,家庭的温馨,师友的印记,旅途上的拾掇,阅读时的耕耘,乃至于随想杂记,作者以娴熟的技巧将这些细碎娓娓道来,引人入胜。
来临的七月,林高将与多年好友辛白、李宁强与李荣德齐聚一堂,围绕着散文集《记得》分享看法与心得,并畅谈文学中的记忆与日常。李荣德也会现场朗读《记得》的一些作品。

 

Reminders is  2015 Cultural Medallion Award winner, Lin Gao's latest prose collection . The topics in the book encompasses a variety of subjects. For example, growing up, family ties, friendship,travelling and reading.

关于分享嘉宾 | About the speakers


 

林高于1949年生于新加坡静山村。原名林汉精。台湾大学文学士,华中师范大学硕士。现为新加坡作家协会受邀理事。 2015年获新加坡文化奖。 2014年获新加坡文学奖。2013年赴韩国参加为期三个月的TOJI文化馆驻馆作家。林高曾担任《微型小说季刊》《萤火虫》和《百灵鸟》的编委和主编。1993年召集青年作者创办《后来》四月刊。著作有《被追逐的滋味》《倚窗阅读》《林高卷》(散文)《品读》(与蔡欣合写)《赏读》(有陈志锐合写)《赏读2》《林高微型小说》《遇见诗》《框起人间事》《记得》等。
Lim Hung Chang (Lin Gao) is an Invited Councillor in the Singapore Association of Writers. Hung Chang has been awarded the Singapore Literature Prize in 2014 and the Cultural Medallion in 2015. In 2013, Hung Chang visited Toji Cultural Centre in South Korea for a 3-month NAC Residency Programme for Singaporean Writers. Hung Chang has a total of 17 publications, including <Lin Gao: A Selection of Works>, <Micro-Fiction by Lin Gao>, <Poetic Encounters>, <Life Between Frames> and <Reminders>. Hung Chang graduated from National Taiwan University and earned his Master’s Doctorate from Huazhong Normal University.


 

李宁强,摄影与文学创作人及报章专栏作家。致力于结合摄影与文学,进行一文一图的创作方式。2017年获图书馆选为狮城作家系列作家。著有散文集《说从头》,三本摄影文集《像由心生》、《千眼一点》及《心田无疆》。
Lee Leng Kiong, a local author cum photographer and a Chinese newspaper columnist. He strives to combine photography and literary writing by rejuvenating his photos with creative writing. In 2017, He was selected by National Library Board as one of the authors in The SG Author Series. His publications include 3 photobooks "Photos For Thought" series I, II and III and an autobiography "Looking Back".


 

辛白,本名黄兴中,1949年出生于新加坡。北京师范大学文学学士。主要写诗。也写散文、微型小说与闪小说。曾任中小学教师、新加坡教育部课程规划与发展署华文专科督学、华文课程规划员。曾获1977年新加坡文化部主办“全国诗歌创作比赛”华文公开组首奖。现为新加坡作家协会受邀理事、推广华文学习委员会驻校作家。著有诗集《风筝季》、《细雨燕子图》和散文集《音乐雨》等。(最新诗集《看见》将于2018年4月底之前出版。)
Xin Bai, original name Ng Heng Teong, was born in Singapore in 1949. His works are mainly poetry. Other works include prose, short short stories and flash fictions. He has been a primary and secondary school teacher, a Curriculum Specialist, Chinese Language and a Curriculum Planning Officer, Chinese Language in the Curriculum Planning & Development Division, Ministry of Education, Singapore. He won the first prize in the Open (Chinese) Section in the Poetry Writing Competition, 1977 organised by the Ministry of Culture, Singapore. He is now an Invited Councilor of the Singapore Association of Writers and an Author-in-Residence appointed by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning. He has published two collections of poetry titled Kite Season and Swallows Flying in The Rain and a collection of prose titled Musical Rain.

 

(A new collection of poetry titled Seeing is due to be published by the end of April 2018.)

 

李荣德
 

新加坡土生土长,新加坡国际广播电台中文组前副节目总监及音乐总监,是 80 年代初新加坡电视台录取的首三位全职配音演员之一。
 

1992年台湾国立政治大学中文系毕业后回国同时在 933 醉心频道当兼职主持及 958 城市频道当新闻播报员,1994 年协助成立新加坡国际广播电台,服务至 2008 年关台为止,期间也参与 958 城市频道广播小说及广播剧的录音,电视时事节目旁述、韩剧、日剧及泰国电影的配音,也曾担任传媒学院广播课程导师、部长华语导师等,并担任好几年的国庆庆典电台或电视现场旁述。

 

目前仍以自由身从事与声音有关的工作,包括:广告、影片旁述、节目预告、舞台主持等。
Lee Yong Tick
Singaporean by birth. Deputy Programme Director & Music Director of Chinese Section, Radio Singapore International. Recruited as the 3rd Full Time Dubbing Artiste of SBC in early 1980's. Graduated from Chinese Literature Department of Taiwan National Cheng Chih University in 1992.Returned to Singapore and became a Part-Time DJ of FM 933 and Part-Time Newsreader of FM 958 in Radio Singapore. Assisted in the setting up of Radio Singapore International in 1994 and served on a full time basis in RSI until its closure in 2008. Meanwhile participated in part-time recording of radio plays and short stories for Ch.958, narration of TV current affairs documentaries and dubbing of Korean, Japanese and Thai movies. Instructor of courses run by Media Academy. Narrator of Special Memorial Programmes dedicated to late government ministers. Presenter of National Day Parades for several years. Mandarin Coach to individual government minister. Still doing voicing work at present for documentaries, commercial productions, films and TV programme previews. Also serves as Presenter for concerts and special events.
