As part of Council for Third Age (C3A)’s ongoing efforts to promote positive ageing, lifelong learning and senior volunteerism, C3A will be organising NSA Virtual Roadshow from 27 July to 2 August 2020, which will offer seniors an array of online and physical learning opportunities, volunteering opportunities, online talks, games and more! Admission is FREE!
Themed LIFE, it is a first-of-its-kind 360° virtual roadshow experience for seniors to learn and volunteer, where we bring the roadshow to seniors and their loved ones so that they can explore it from home! Key highlights include our daily live talks at 2pm and you can even do a live chat* with our participating partners.
During the 1-week virtual roadshow, you can participate in various activities and explore opportunities in the 4 zones – Learn, Inspire, Fulfil and E-Nuggets Showtime.
Learn zone
Discover online and physical learning opportunities showcased by participating National Silver Academy (NSA) partners, covering topics like health and wellness, IT, to life skills. Each participating partner will have a booth which visitors can interact with and view relevant information on their programmes and courses!
Inspire zone
Looking to be inspired? Look no further! The Inspire zone provides an overview of how you can get started with your active ageing journey. It will feature a photo exhibition of Singapore nostalgic photos as part of our collaboration with NLB, as well as a games pavilion where seniors can play interactive and cognitive games to stimulate the mind and keep active!
Fulfil zone
Want to give back to the community? Check out various volunteering opportunities to enrich your life and make it more fulfilling! What’s more, join the Community Befriending Programme, where you can befriend seniors who may be isolated and give them much needed encouragement and company through a simple call.
E-Nuggets Showtime zone
In this zone, you can visit a virtual auditorium to involve and immerse yourself through a list of curated bite-sized online videos, performances, talks and demonstrations of various topics. The topic categories include Digital Ready, Healthy Living, Active Living, Life Skills, Caregiving, Legacy Planning and Transition to Third Age. Additionally, there will be a LIVE talk each day at 2pm! Unsure of where to begin? There will also be a programme guide of recommended content for seniors to follow and view throughout the roadshow period.
